Other Tutoring Options at KU

Departmental
Tutoring: Students should contact individual departments
for names of prospective tutors. Keep in mind that the tutors may work
independently from the department and, therefore, fees may vary.

Help Rooms: Help Rooms are available in select departments.
Students should check with the department to see if one is available (for
example, a Help Room exists for students needing assistance in Math 002
and 101).

HAWK Link: HAWK Link is an academic-based retention program for first-year students. Tutoring and peer mentoring are available through HAWK Link's SOAR program.

Student Senate Tutoring: The Student
Senate has a list of students willing to tutor a variety of subjects.
Fees may vary.

Supportive Educational Services: SES serves:
first generation college students, students with disabilities, OR students
whose families meet federal guidelines for low income. Advising and free
tutoring are available for students who are eligible.

The KU Writing Center: The KU
Writing Center offers free writing assistance. The consultants are
graduate and undergraduate students.
