I Want to be a Tutor

Thank you for your interest in Tutoring Services. We are currently hiring Tutors for the following courses:

MATH 116, 121, & 122; CHEM 184, 188, 624, & 626; BIOL 150, 152, 240, & 350; DSCI 301; ACCT 200 & 201; ECON 142 & 144; and PHSX 114 & 211

Tutoring Services is looking for students who:

  • Are professional, patient, and personable.
  • Have excellent communication skills in fluent English.
  • Are currently enrolled KU students.
  • Have a strong desire and enthusiasm to help students learn.
  • Earned a B or higher in the course selected to tutor, or in a higher-level course in the same discipline.
  • Are able to commit to an entire semester (3.5 hours per week for one tutor group; meetings are conducted at the same times and days each week)
