Other Tutoring Options at KU
-
Departmental Tutoring: Students should contact individual departments for names of prospective tutors. Keep in mind that the tutors may work independently from the department and, therefore, fees may vary.
-
Help Rooms: Help Rooms are available in select departments. Students should check with the department to see if one is available (for example, a Help Room exists for students needing assistance in Math 002 and 101).
-
HAWK Link: HAWK Link is an academic-based retention program for first-year students. Tutoring and peer mentoring are available through HAWK Link's SOAR program.
- Supportive Educational Services: SES serves: first generation college students, students with disabilities, OR students whose families meet federal guidelines for low income. Advising and free tutoring are available for students who are eligible.
- The KU Writing Center: The KU Writing Center offers free writing assistance. The consultants are graduate and undergraduate students.
